Fort Necessity National Battlefield
Located just down the road from Nemacolin, you'll find Fort Necessity, a Frazier High School (Anna's alma mater) field trip favorite. This historical site marks the first battlefield of the American French and Indian War. While there, you can also visit the Mount Washington Tavern, a classic example of an old inn, and see General Braddock's grave.
Ohiopyle State Park
Ohiopyle has miles of pristine hiking trails, outdoor picnic spots and overlooks to the waterfalls of the Youghiogheny River Gorge as well as access to the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail.
Fallingwater
Frank Lloyd Wright is known for his modern architecture that seamlessly blends with nature. Fallingwater is a great way to take in his style and learn more about him. Also located nearby is Kentuck Knob, another of this famous designs.
Christian W Klay Winery
Located just a few miles away from the resort is Christian W Klay Winery for anyone looking to grab a few bottles of locally made wine.
Uniontown
Forgot your tie? Spilled something on your dress? Don't worry! Uniontown offers many options like Target, Walmart, and other staples around the town. If you're not familiar with the area, you may see that there is a mall, but I'd do a bit of digging to make sure what you need is there before you'd head that way; even the world's last remaining Bon Ton closed up shop and left. Additionally, Uniontown is home to many restaurants, both chain and locally owned. We'd highly suggest checking out Caporella's for some amazing Italian food. The family is from Anna's hometown and the food is all homemade.
