The Wedding Website of Anna Progar and Eric Granata
Question

I heard Nemacolin is now a private resort. Is there anything I need to be aware of to enter?

Answer

Yes, Nemacolin is now a private resort. We are required to provide a guestlist to the guard stand at the main entrance of the resort. Upon arrival, you will need to let them know that you have accommodations and are going to check in and/or are here for the Progar-Granata wedding. Everyone will need to have their temperature taken prior to admittance to the grounds. Temperatures are taken via wrist scan.

Question

COVID-19 Updates

Answer

You'll be able to check in here for updates to our wedding as a result of COVID-19. We'll be sure to notify our guests of any changes, but you may also check back here for updated information. The health and safety of our guests is paramount. In order to protect those that we love, we are asking that, if it is possible to do so, all guests be vaccinated prior to attending our reception.

Question

Will you be upset, hurt or disappointed if I/we decide not to come due to COVID?

Answer

Absolutely not! Eric and I completely understand that everyone's circumstances are different, and we want each guest to feel comfortable making the decision that fits best to their needs. Whether you are there in person or not, all we ask is that you keep us in your thoughts on that day.

Question

I have dietary restrictions, what are the meals?

Answer

The chicken dish is a maple and Fat Heads Head Hunter IPA brined chicken breast. The beef is a braised short rib, au jus. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know!

Question

What is going on with your wedding?

Answer

We got married on November 20, 2020 during a small ceremony at my family's church. We are hoping to celebrate our one year anniversary with our family and friends at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort on November 20, 2021.

Question

What can I expect during the reception?

Answer

You can expect a party! We will kick off cocktail hour with live music from close family friends and will have both a live polka band and a DJ during the reception. We will be incorporating a number of traditional elements that are meaningful to the bride and groom. Adults only please!

Question

A bridal dance? What's that?

Answer

The Bridal Dance, or Redovy, is primarily of Eastern Slavic origin. It is meant to give each guest an opportunity to dance with the bride and convey their best wishes. Traditionally, guests place dollars in an apron worn by a bridesmaid for the privilege to twirl the bride around. In return, the guests are offered a token of appreciation. The money gifted during the dance is used to fund the couple's honeymoon, establish their home, and to support the couple's first child. It is considered bad luck for a guest to not dance with the bride! The Bridal Dance is danced to a special song featuring lyrics that address the bride's beauty and the groom's good fortune of marrying her. Throughout the dance, you will hear "zhea mlada, esta nasha" being shouted meaning "She is still ours!" While everyone is taking their turn dancing with the bride, the other guests wave their white handkerchiefs in the air to celebrate. We invite you to do the same!
