The Ryman is Meghan's favorite building in town. We've been able to see some great concerts and shows while living in Nashville and it's always a spiritual experience visiting the Mother Church. If you have time, schedule a backstage tour to learn all about the Ryman's history and the role it's played in Nashville and the music industry.
Step inside the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to travel through country music history. This is a great indoor activity and is great for people of all ages. It is conveniently located downtown. Don't forget to stop by the Hatch Show Print Shop!
Get your game on at Headquarters Beercade! One of our all-time favorite spots downtown is full of classic arcade games--all free of charge.
Walk the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge for one of the best views of the Nashville skyline. A fantastic spot photos at sunset!
12 South is a wonderful way to spend the day exploring local shops and restaurants. Some favorites include Five Daughter's Bakery for donuts, Bar Taco, Embers Ski Lodge, Draper James, White's Mercantile, Edley's BBQ, and Burger Up.
Head to Centennial Park to see the Parthenon and go for a lovely walk around the park.
The Tennessee State Museum is free to the public and chronicles Tennessee's role in American history, along with visiting exhibits.
If the weather is nice, there's no better place to spend an afternoon than having some wine at Arrington Vineyards. Arrington is one of Meghan's favorite places in the Nashville area and where we got engaged. As a devoted wine club member, Meghan suggests the following wines: -Sparkle The Rosé -Kinzley Reserve -Firefly Rosé -Petit Noir -Red Fox Red -Syrah Don't forget your cheese and snacks!
Get wild! The Zoo is a great family-friendly experience for all ages. Meghan loves to stop by to see the meerkats. Michael is a big fan of the giraffes and rhinos.
If weather permits and you're feeling like getting active, we love taking a walk around Radnor Lake. Keep an eye out for turtles sleeping on rocks in the lake!
Percy Warner Park is another great outdoor active stop in town. There are numerous walking trails and most are paved.
If you're going to Broadway, don't miss out on Nudie's. It is one of our favorite honky tonks in town. Don't forget to check out the incredible rooftop view.
Fifth+Broadway is one of downtown Nashville's newest development. It is home to Assembly Food Hall, which has a number of fantastic local eateries. Be sure to check it out when you explore downtown.
If you have an extra night, we definitely suggest taking a trip to the Cheekwood Botanical Gardens. Holiday LIGHTS will take place on the grounds from November 20th, 2021-January 9th, 2022. The lights are a wonderful family-friendly holiday experience!
