Travel Note
IMPORTANT: Please email grace once you've decided to join us at grace.edmunds1@gmail.com for more information and specific details about your accommodations! We are thrilled that you are going to join us for this beautiful 3-day wedding weekend. Wedding events will begin Friday night at 6pm and continue until Sunday at Noon. The location of all of the events will be The Land Mendocino retreat center which is nestled in Southern Mendocino county along the Navarro River bordering the Hendy Redwood State Park. This is a beautiful part of California and an area that we have always loved to visit on weekends when living in the Bay Area. If you plan on arriving Friday and want to attend the welcome Dinner, know that traffic from the Bay Area to Mendocino can be heavy. We advise you leave the bay no later than 2:00 pm.
Flight
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) - major airport and is 2.5 hrs - 3 hrs drive to the venue. Oakland International Airport (OAK) - major airport 2.5-3 hours drive to venue. Sonoma Airport (STS) - Located in Santa Rosa this is the closest smaller airport. Sacramento Airport - 3 hr drive to the venue
Rental Car
We've created a rideshare so that folks can carpool together from the Bay Area up to the venue. Local folks, if you can fit some friends in, put your car on as offering a ride. Out of towners, you can add yourself as "need a ride". This is SUPER important as we are only allowed 40 parking spots on The Land and so we really hope you will make friends with each other and travel together! Thanks ya'll!
Travel Note
Google Maps gets you ALMOST to the venue. Write down these instructions for the last mile. Try to avoid Bay Area rush hour by leaving SF before 3pm if you can - we want to hang as much as possible! Driving Directions: 1. US-101 N (84.5 miles) 2. Exit 522 to CA-128W (toward Fort Bragg / Mendocino) 3. Continue on CA-128W for 32 miles 4. Turn Left onto Rays Road 5. Continue on to Van Zandt Resort Road to 18501 Van Zandt Resort Road, Philo, CA 95466 The Land will be on your Left. The gate for The Land is Green. (It is to the left of a Red gate - don't go in that one!) There will probably be signs and/or balloons so keep your eyes peeled!
