Question

What is Esparon?

Answer

Bez-Esparon is a remote village in the Cevennes mountains in the south of France where Adrien has a family house. Restored by his maternal grandfather in the 1960s, it has been the backdrop to Adrien’s childhood summers and the shared memories of many seasons spent here. Since meeting, Grace and Adrien have continued the tradition, spending nearly every summer here. The village is on the top of a mountain overlooking the valley, surrounded by woods with many trails and hikes to explore. Esparon is officially considered a hamlet, as it consists of only a handful of stone homes and a water source at its center. We are delighted to begin the wedding celebrations in this special place, hosting the Welcome Cocktail Party at the family home in Esparon.

Question

What is Maison Odette?

Answer

Maison Odette is where our reception will be held, and it’s a truly special place. Originally a silk factory, it has been beautifully converted into a house with a lovely garden, situated right in the heart of the village of Aulas. It has undergone new management in the past year and will be available for guests to stay during the wedding weekend. The venue is just a short walk from the ceremony at the Église de St Martin.

Answer

Children are welcome! Please contact us if you are interested in a nanny service.

Question

Answer

Festive and Semi-formal, black tie not required.

Question

Will the wedding be outside?

Answer

Yes, the reception will be outdoors. The temperatures in the Cevennes in early July tend to be warm and sunny during the day and cool at night so we recommend a sweater or light jacket in case you get cold. We also highly recommend guests to avoid stilettos because the reception will take place in a garden.

Question

What is the dress code for the other events besides the wedding reception?

Answer

The Cevennes is a remote and rustic part of the south of France with terrains ranging from stone, moss, and grass. All wedding events will be taking place outdoors or in between outdoor and indoor spaces. We recommend guests to dress accordingly and not to wear stilettos.
