Cocoa Cinnamon - 420 West Geer Street, Durham, NC 27701 A classic Durham coffee spot! Toast - 345 West Main Street, Durham, NC 27701 Panini, soups, and salads. Closed on Sunday but otherwise an excellent spot for lunch! Monuts - 1002 9th Street, Durham, NC 27705 Another Durham classic by the Ninth Street area in Durham. Great for breakfast and lunch! Sara's office is a block away, and she's here once a week eating the Turkish Eggs & Avocado. Foster's Market - 2694 Durham-Chapel Hill Boulevard, Durham, NC 27707 Another great breakfast and lunch spot! A good option for food on the go when you're not downtown. Guglhupf Restaurant - 2706 Durham-Chapel Hill Boulevard, Durham, NC 27707 Bakeshop and biergarten with a beautiful garden patio. It's basically next door to Foster's Market. Another good choice for brunch, lunch, or a light bite outside of downtown.

Viceroy - 335 West Main Street, Durham, NC, 27701 Fun ambiance and amazing Indian food, right in the heart of downtown. One of our favorites. Pizzeria Toro - 105 East Chapel Hill Street, Durham, NC, 27701 Across the street from Viceroy is our OTHER favorite. The best pizza in downtown Durham. Get the kale salad! Hutchins Garage - 402 West Geer Street, Durham, NC, 27701 For a more laid-back vibe and/or patio seating (and also very good pizza and salads) walk a few blocks to this converted garage space in the Geer St. area, just north of downtown. We love to walk here from our house! Nikos - 905 West Main Street, Durham, NC, 27701 This is an amazing Greek restaurant in Brightleaf Square off Main Street (right by the Residence Inn). Reservations recommended. Rose's Noodles, Dumplings & Sweets - 121 North Gregson Street, Durham, NC, 27701 Also in Brightleaf is this East Asian-inspired eatery and bakery. Delicious and spicy small plates, artisan pastries, fantastic ice cream sandwiches!

LouElla Wine, Beer & Beverage - 316 West Geer Street, Durham, NC 27701 This is a lovely wine shop and bar. We had our first date here, where we shared a *whole* bottle of Cabernet Franc rosé and talked for five hours. Try the orange wine! Kingfisher - 321 East Chapel Hill Street, Durham, NC 27701 A great option right downtown for craft cocktails. The Velvet Hippo Bar & Lounge - 119 Orange Street, Durham, NC 27701 This is a great downtown bar with an awesome rooftop seating area! The Durham Hotel Rooftop Bar - Durham, NC 27701 The rooftop bar at the Durham Hotel offers an even more panoramic view of the city.

West Point on the Eno Park - 5101 North Roxboro Street, Durham, NC 27704 A great place for a hike if you have a car to get around! We love to wade and swim in the water here when it's warm enough. Eno River State Park - 6101 Cole Mill Road, Durham, NC 27705 More (and longer) hikes along the Eno River! Ellerbee Creek Trail - 804 W Trinity Ave, Durham, NC 27701 This is a great option for wooded walks if you're staying downtown without a car! Sarah P. Duke Gardens - 2000 Lewis Street, Durham, NC 27705 A beautiful botanical garden and arboretum on Duke's campus. Well worth a visit!

Durham Farmers' Market - 501 Foster Street, Durham, NC 27701 It's right downtown! Open from 8 am to noon on Saturday. Grab a pastry or some produce, listen to some live music, look at some crafts. Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University - 2001 Campus Drive, Durham, NC 27705 Contemporary art on Duke's campus. It's free! North Carolina Museum of Art - 2110 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh, NC 27607 If you're up for a trip to Raleigh, this is a gorgeous art museum with a great cafe and sculpture garden! Sauna House Durham - 326 West Geer Street, Durham, NC 27701 Our neighborhood Nordic spa and bathhouse. A visit gets you 2 hours of access to saunas, cold plunges, Himalayan salt rooms, heated benches. A great spot for a leisurely catch up with friends or for solo recharging!
