Flying Caballos is a 10 minute drive from downtown San Luis Obispo. With a variety of hotel & airbnb options, both economic and lavish, we recommend finding a home base around here for the weekend as it is centrally located for many of the activities. Feeling beachy? Pismo and Avila Beach are a quick 10 minute drive to Flying Caballos and have camping, hotels, and airbnb options available. For those wanting more of a wine weekend, you can find lots of airbnbs and hotels in Edna Valley, also 10 minutes from Flying Caballos.

San Luis Obispo Airport

For those lucky enough to find flights into San Luis Obispo itself, the airport is a whopping 2 minutes from our venue, Flying Caballos Ranch. There are more direct flights than expected (Seattle, San Diego, SF and LAX to name a few) so for our guests flying in from out of California, we recommend looking here before choosing a father airport.

LAX or SFO

Both SFO and LAX are about a 3.5 hour drive to San Luis Obispo. If you decide on this route, we have a few recommendations to make your journey more memorable. If traveling from SFO- take a cruise down the 1 and stop at the Bixby Bridge to see where Nico popped the question! Or travel via the 101 and take a pit stop in Paso Robles, Shawn & Vince Marinkovich's favorite wine tasting region. If flying into LAX, take the coastal route and stop by Santa Barbara and see where Lori and Bob Green first met.
