On November 7th 2020, we joyously began our union with fifteen of our closest circle. Now, we are half a year into our marriage and about half a year before celebrating our one year anniversary with a super postponed wedding reception. Now with many of our guests receiving the vaccine, decreasing community prevalence, and increasing evidence that those who are vaccinated are not infectious - we feel we are in a much safer position to celebrate with our family and friends. To provide peace of mind, we will require that all guests either receive the vaccine or have a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 4 days of the reception. We will ask that each attendee answer a questionnaire provided in the RSVP form to facilitate this process. We know the decision to attend a wedding gathering is a complex risk/benefit analysis that is unique to every individual and family. We completely understand if you choose to celebrate from afar. Please do not hesitate to ask us any questions!
Wishing we were in NOLA with y'all! Instead we're headed to the Texas Hill country for our UnWedding weekend where we first became an engaged couple, trying to make the most out of an unideal situation. Sending everyone love, and can't wait to be all together in November (with cooler weather maybe)!
We have made the difficult but obviously necessary decision to postpone our wedding to November 7th, 2020. Please see our full message here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iW-mxQarmAOu-CuThbhyOkdmA7H-2L_w4GZiWbnCPZI/edit?usp=sharing
It's looking more and more likely that we will be postponing our wedding. Fortunately, we have November 7th, 2020 locked in for our celebration! We are currently working out details to transfer our room blocks. Please let us know if you have any specific concerns about rearranging your travel schedule! We hope we can still celebrate all together!
While still staying optimistic, we have an alternate date in place. We now ask that you save the date for November 7th, 2020 as the new postponed date. Thank you for your continued patience and we so look forward to celebrating with y'all - even if it is a half a year later than originally planned!
At this moment, we remain hopeful that we might be able to host our wedding as planned on May 23rd. However, we are in the process of making an alternate date possible for us in the case that it remains unsafe for us and our guests to travel/attend/enjoy the time in New Orleans. We would like you to consider penciling in September 26th, 2020 (*note - this date is no longer available! please be aware that November 7th is the most updated date) as a potential postponed date for our celebration. We will continue monitoring and reporting our updates here. Please reach out to us if you have any concerns or need anything!
