There are a few options for travel to Crested Butte: Flying to Denver or Gunnison For guests wanting to travel by plane, the first option is to fly into Denver Airport and rent a car. The drive from the airport to Crested Butte is ~3hr and 45 min. Note that this is a very scenic drive and a great way to see Colorado. Second option via plane and for a shorter drive is to fly into Denver, then take a second flight into Gunnison. From Gunnison you can rent a car and drive 40 minutes to Crested Butte. Roadtrip Many of our guests are traveling from Phoenix. The drive to Crested Butte is about 10 hours but very scenic and offers a great opportunity for a road trip. There are multiple routes, with some taking you through Monument Valley on the Colorado Plateau and the epic San Juan Mountains of Colorado.
