Pre-Wedding Lake Hangout

If you’re in town the day before the wedding, feel free to join us for a casual afternoon at Lake Irwin. This alpine lake has beautiful mountain views and offers swimming, fishing, and paddle boarding. Paddleboard rentals are available in Crested Butte. The lake is about a 20-25 minute drive from downtown Crested Butte. We’ll be there with some drinks and snacks, and everyone is welcome to stop by and hang out for as long as you’d like. Please bring your own towels, chairs, blankets, or anything else to get comfortable by the water. Don't forget a swimsuit! No set schedule—just a relaxed way to spend time together before the big day. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Ceremony

4:00 pm

Dress Code: Semi-formal, with an optional western feel. Women: mid-length or long dresses, skirts, or dressy jumpsuits Men: slacks and a button-up shirt—feel free to add a bolo tie, sport coat, or cowboy boots if you’d like to lean into the western vibe.

Our ceremony will take place at Woods Walk, a lovely aspen grove preserved by the Crested Butte Land Trust. It’s part of a public hiking trail and doesn’t have a street address. You’ll reach the ceremony site via a short, easy 5-minute walk along a maintained dirt trail. There are no restrooms or water available on site, so please plan to use facilities beforehand and bring water if you’d like. The ceremony will be brief—about 15–20 minutes. Parking is quite limited at the trailhead, so we recommend parking along Maroon Avenue. For footwear, flat sandals, block heels, or low heels work best on the dirt path (stilettos aren’t ideal).
