Here's How It Happened

She Said Yes to a Little Blue String

We met in sophomore year of high school, shared a few classes, and hung out during lunch breaks. One of us had a crush on the other but never said anything. The days of our high school life were fleeting. Soon, graduation arrived and we went our separate ways to follow our dreams. ❀❀❀ A couple of years later, we happened to reconnect at her parents’ restaurant, of all places. Laughing and sharing each other’s stories, our friendship was rekindled, and we agreed to meet up to hang out once more. It started with video games, movie nights, and workouts at the gym and sharing common interests in just about anything you can consider nerdy. Soon, we were dating and would see each other as often as we could, taking long walks along the Edmonds waterfront, hiking Washington trails, and using up gym time just to talk for hours. ❀❀❀ On the night of January 12, 2017, on a bridge that overlooks the Edmonds waterfront, Zach proposed to Gina. He, unfortunately, didn't have a ring at that time due to some complications. So instead, he got down on one knee and bravely proposed to her with a small blue string. She happily told him, "Yes!" He tied the string around her finger and told her about all the adventures they will have together, and that he will never be bored and will always love her. ❀❀❀ Thus, we present to you the beginning of a sweet relationship that grew into a long-awaited love. While it is our wedding day, we also see it as a reunion for both of our families. Thank you for being our family. We hope you can be part of our special day.
