We’re thrilled to be celebrating with you, and we want to invite you to step into the glamour, glitz, and extravagance of the 1920s. Our wedding weekend is Gatsby-inspired, an aesthetic built around the historic Columbia Gorge Hotel —think Art Deco, vintage cocktails, and a whole lot of sparkle. Not sure what to wear? A few ideas are included below, but the most important tips are: 1) Vintage, thrifted, or re-worn glam is highly encouraged and 2) Wear what makes you feel fabulous and festive. For a feminine look: Think flapper meets Hollywood starlet Beaded, fringed, or satin dresses Feathered or jeweled headbands Long pearl necklaces or art deco jewelry Faux fur wraps or feather boas Sequins and shimmer encouraged! Want to keep it simple? A black cocktail dress with a couple pieces of thrifted/costume jewelry will work great. **Important note regarding footwear** Much of the wedding will take place outside (weather permitting), and we will move through several spaces including grass and uneven pavement. Practical shoes are highly recommended. We will not provide sandals. For a masculine look: Think Jazz Age sophistication or 20s-era accessories Three-piece suits, tuxedos, or dress slacks with suspenders Bow ties or skinny ties Pinstripes, tweeds, or solid neutrals Fedoras, boater hats, or newsboy caps Slicked-back hair or side parts Pocket watch or pocket square Want to keep it simple? A vest, bow tie, and/or hat go a long way toward 1920s flair. We’ll have plenty of photo ops and surprises throughout the weekend. Lean into the theme, have fun with it, and don’t be afraid to stand out.
October is our border season, and we strongly recommend that guests consult the weather forecast prior to the weekend and plan accordingly. We can expect something between 70s and sunny, or 50s and cloudy with a little rain. Regardless, you can plan for it to be chilly after sunset (~6:30pm) and much of the wedding event will take place outside - weather permitting - so please plan to bring a warm layer for the evening.
