Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park

CO

Probably the countries most iconic park, Rocky Mountain National Park in northern Colorado spans the Continental Divide and encompasses protected mountains, forests and alpine tundra. It's known for the Trail Ridge Road and the Old Fall River Road, drives that pass aspen trees and rivers. Access to the park is under a time permit system, which needs to be bought in advance, as it's an incredibly popular destination. More information can be found at the link provided.

Poudre Canyon

Poudre Canyon

CO 80512

Located NW of Fort Collins, this is probably Taylors favorite place in the state. The Poudre Canyon is a narrow verdant canyon, approximately 40 miles long, on the upper Cache la Poudre River in Larimer County, Colorado in the United States. The canyon is a glacier-formed valley through the foothills of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains northwest of Fort Collins. While a pretty popular destination for Larimer County, it is much easier to access than Rocky Mountain Nation Park. The road follows the beautiful Cache La Poudre River, leading to great hiking and breathtaking views.
