We met online a few months after Andrew moved back to Texas from New York. He had to work a shift before our first date, unbeknownst to Alyssa. He would later tell his friend Michael that it felt like "the Moon Landing." We both knew that night that this wasn't going to be our last date. A few weeks after meeting for the first time, we decided to make it official, and Andrew sealed the deal with a 3D-printed astronaut as a gift. Since that day, we have been through ups and downs, and helped one another grow individually and as a couple. Together we have had multiple "family" museum memberships, enjoyed countless concerts and movies together, and created a life full of the most wonderfully supportive family and friends. We have traveled to Chicago, New York City, Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Idaho, Salt Lake City, Florida, New Mexico, and all over Texas together. On December 16, 2025, on what seemed like a regular Tuesday, we went on a date to Shake Shack, the bookstore, and then Speedy's Fast Track for our annual December arcade date. After playing games and picking prizes, we ended the night in the Photo Booth like we always do. It was there that Andrew asked Alyssa to be his wife. She said yes, but only after asking him if he was serious about 23 times. We're excited to get married, not just because we love each other, but so our two cats (Ziggy & Oreo) can finally share the same last name (even though they don't know how to spell).
