Officiant
Lucy and Georgia's relationship has been more of a saga than a story. They first met freshman year at the University of Richmond in a nightly trip from their sophomore friends dorm back to the freshman dorm. Little did they know that the exchange of numbers would lead to a life-long friendship. Luc and George lived next door to each other Sophomore and Junior year and together their senior year, followed by a good 3 years of cohabitation in the depths of Somerville, MA. They have shared countless bottles of wine together, purchased and navigated motorcycles from southern to northern Vietnam together, crushed many a good ski slope (with Georgia only slightly in front :)), learned to SCUBA in the Thai islands, and experienced the good and bad of the early 20s side by side.
Maid of Honor
Known by many nicknames (Marv, Marvin, Marvolo), Mary Catherine Brickle (as her mother would say) is Georgia's college roommate of 3 yrs, radio co-host, and best friend. Georgia and Mary met their freshman year at the University of Richmond in a night that contained strategic board games, Fanta and Vodka, and dancing to loud music (some things never change). Mary and George both went abroad to different parts of India in college, traveled together in Greece, went on quite a few camping trips to Shenendoah, Vermont, and beyond and spent many weeks driving across America touring national parks. While Mary now lives in Tacoma and Georgia in Denver, they have realized that flights are actually quite reasonable and have made frequent efforts to visit each other's lovely dogs (and each other).
Bridesmaid
Kelley has been Georgia's rock since they met at the University of Richmond in their Freshman year. They lived next door to each other, eventually ending up as roommates their senior year. Kelley's cool joy of the world around her has always reminded Georgia to take a step back and appreciate the small things. The two of them share a strong love of honey, headbanging, and laughing out loud when the moment hits them. Kelley is Georgia's favorite person to spend both a slow afternoon and a night dancing with. While Kelley now lives in Philly, they have hiked mountains in Colorado, attended wine fests and concerts in Virginia, bopped around the streets of DC, and navigated parties at JMU together. They have camped on beaches, hilltops, and in forests, sharing friends and whiskey hand in hand.
Bridesmaid
Livver and G met at soccer practice in the 5th grade and were (at the future disbelief of their teacher) placed in the same homeroom. From Day 1 they were inseparable. Liv, even in the fifth grade, showed a knack for writing and story-telling, while Georgia fed her the answers to difficult math problems and kept her from tackling slow-moving classmates in the hallways. They spent countless hours within and outside of school together, and the Sills even organized their summer vacation's to Vermont around Olivia's schedule (it just wouldn't have been the same without her). After high school, Olivia went off to Columbia and George went off to Richmond. While Liv is now getting her PhD in CA, they had a precious few weeks residing in Denver together where they realized....nothing has changed.
Bridesmaid
As Adam's favorite sister, Nicolla and Georgia got to know each other on the sunny beaches in Florida and during Adam's many curated family events (the list includes BBQ beachside yoga and virtual pictionary). Nicolla is known for being creative and will quickly draw a picture of you and your SO dancing on a counter, photoshop a dragon into the background of an engagement picture, or pick up some spindly-legged wooden animals to guard your orchids (all true). When she's not taming the family golden retrievers, Nicolla resides in Seattle with her three-legged cat companion, Orion.
Best Man
Josh has known Adam longer than almost anyone. He was there when Adam was born, in Johannesburg South Africa. At age five he taught Adam how to climb to granny's rooftop and convinced him of the nutritional benefits of dog food. Josh was Adam's only friend when they moved to America and they spent many an afternoon battling Nintendo monsters and generally being terrors around the house. At age 9, Josh got in a fight with his middle school gym teacher's - he had berated Adam because he couldn't hit a baseball off a tee (still can't). Throughout Adam's life, he could count on Josh as a rock. He has been and will always be there for family, for better or worse, whether you want to eat the dog biscuit or not.
Groomsman
A few years younger (and a few feet taller), Jonathan has been like a brother to Adam all his life. At the ripe age of four, he encouraged Adam to join him in America. Growing up down the street, the two spent weekly Shabbat dinners and holidays hopping from house to house, playing sports and Tony Hawk while waiting for the food to be ready. Jonathan looked up to Josh & Adam, not having any male siblings. From Josh he picked up a love for sports and, influenced by Adam, Jonathan grew out his hair and started skateboarding. The latter didn't last long - but their relationships have. While no longer neighbors, Jonathan and Adam have kept in touch, grabbing drinks in NYC, Jonathan's home base, crashing on Adam's couch - and now acting as groomsmen in Adam's wedding.
Groomsman
Lior is Adam's third brother - from another mother & motherland. Despite being years younger, Adam has always looked up to Lior. At age 16 he spent a summer in Israel and stayed with the Cohens and, despite their age gap, had a blast playing Fifa and hanging around the neighborhood. Adam saw firsthand the kind of person Lior is - truly kind and an incredible brother to his sister, Yael. Years later after high school, Adam spent a year in Israel and looked forward to weekends with the Cohens, with Lior showing him the where the best Sabich in town was and still dominating in Fifa. Adam has many close and local friends in America, and despite keeping in touch over the years mainly through WhatsApp and Skype, he couldn't ask for a better person to stand by his side on his wedding day.
