Groomsman
Ron, aside from being a fine trombonist (and thus an all around good guy - goes without saying) is a good friend who has been by my side for quite some time now. Understanding and patient, he has been there for me when I needed a friend. And ladies, believe it or not, he's available!
Bridesmaid
26 years ago, kindred spirits united as we met in the toddler room at Faith Baptist Day Care... and my child would not come out from under my dress. Miss Cindy and I mused about the loss of personal dignity that began with childbirth, and talked boring grown-up stuff until he got bored and came out to play... and we haven't stopped talking ever since.
Groomsman
Alex is an extremely intelligent young man, a fine musician and composer/arranger, and highly computer-savvy. We are members of the same online music forum, and had been for a while before we actually met in person. Getting to know this young man has been a great experience, and I am proud to call him my step-son.
Bridesmaid
When I first met this kind and charismatic lady, I loved that she had the same first name as my deceased daughter. Later, I realized that she also has the same middle name as well-- we've worked together, played together, and shared life paths that have been much eased by the presence of each other. She gives me a little bit of style.
Groomsman
An avid gamesman and fisherman, Jerel lured my sister away to Morganton and made her a very happy woman. He is a great blessing in her life in so many ways and the lives of all who know them. Together they are doing a wonderful job raising a beautiful, smart little girl, Olivia. He's a great brother-in-law and I'm proud to have him serve as a goomsmen in our special day.
Mother of the Groom
I am extremely happy to add a new member of our family and a loving daughter-in-law for my mom to love back. Kate is already calling her, "mom" and planning on many more years in this relationship.
Father of the Groom
Dad is a one of a kind with his frequently awkward sense of humor. He loves mom and his kids and grandkids. and he loves Kate. And she loves him as a second dad.
Giving away the bride
Right out of the Abercrombie & Fitch catalogue, Garrett (Kate's oldest son) and Kelly Rose (Garrett's wife) are happy to stand-in for Kate's late mother, Dot Jackson in giving the bride away. They don't really want to give her away, but they said that George may borrow her for no longer than 50 years...that just means that they want her back.
