Just over an hour from Norfolk, it’s a beautifully preserved 18th-century town where costumed interpreters bring America’s colonial past to life. Williamsburg is also home to The College of William & Mary, where Elizabeth went to school, so it holds a special place in our hearts! Note: We recommend building in extra time for the drive, as construction and traffic can slow things down especially on weekends. It’s a great option for a pre- or post-wedding adventure, but we suggest skipping it on the wedding day to avoid any travel delays.
