SeaTac is the easiest airport for most out-of-towners to get to. It's got great food options and loads of local music playing 24/7!
Travel Note
If you plan on driving up to the San Juan's (pretty smart, considering how far apart everything is on the island), you'll have to make a ferry reservation to make it to the island. HAVE TO. Trust me. If you don't make a reservation, you may be stuck at the ferry terminal for an unreasonable amount of time. Reservations open up 2 months, 2 weeks, and 2 days ahead of time, at 7 am. If you forget before the 2 day time, be online at 6:57 ready to press send at 7 am. That is the only way I've ever made last minute reservations. If you have ANY questions, please don't hesitate to call!
Flight
Kenmore Air has flights to and from the San Juans (either by float plane or regular plane) that are easy to bus/taxi to from major airports. Check out their schedule if you want to forgo the crazy summer ferry schedule!
Travel Note
Orcas Island Scenic Shuttles is the way to get around if you decide not to A: drive on the island or B: drive to the reception. Terry, who owns Scenic Shuttles, will give you a discount if you mention that you're a part of our celebration! (Also, be prepared for some AMAZING east coast sass. Terry is from Boston and always makes Ali feel at home whenever they are chatting)
House Or Rental
This is the vacation rental company George works for! He has Kingfish Inn (which is so adorable, Ali's parent's can attest) as well as some AMAZING properties on the island that George has helped make beautiful! Mention our wedding (George is one of few employees) and you'll receive a discount!
Travel Note
We're having the reception on a friends GORGEOUS property 2.5 miles outside of Eastsound. He has SO much property that there's enough room to camp! Please don't be afraid to bring camping gear and hang out with us on the property! We have the space the whole weekend, so we'll probably have a BBQ the night before for people spending the night as well as a bonfire! It's just a weekend of party time!
Hotel
The Outlook is one of the main hotels on the island. It's located in town right across from the sound, with beautiful views of Indian Island. The New Leaf Cafe is located inside the hotel, they have an amazing happy hour and delicious meals!
Hotel
Rosario is pretty amazing. They have a spa, and their massages and facials are pretty great. And they have a 21 and over pool! So fun!
