Lake Kremasta is the largest and perhaps the most beautiful artificial lake in Greece. It was created in the 60's as a result of the construction of the Kremasta hydroelectric dam and is continuously supplied by the rivers Acheloos, Agrafiotis, Tavropou and Trikerioti.
