We met at JMU after being set up on a blind date by 2 of our friends(whom may or may not be in this wedding). We immediately hit it off and talked for hours over Sprite and cheap rum lol. We had so much fun that night, that the next weekend Sabrina agreed to jump in a car with Andrew and his friends to go shoot guns in West Virginia. Everyone piled into the car with a trunk full of guns and a cooler full of beer and we set off for the hills. Unfortunately, the trip was cut short when the cars engine gave out leaving us stranded out in the middle of the woods with no cell service. As two friends hitchhiked back to get service and call for help, we spent the afternoon together keeping warm and getting to know each other! Once we got rescued, Andrew figured he was never going to hear from Sabrina ever again...but to Andrews surprise, Sabrina texted him again that same night to go out for dinner. They laughed over pool and pizza and the connection continued to grow stronger and stronger.
It was Andrew's birthday when we headed to Harpers Ferry, WV for a weekend of camping and breweries. Sabrina spent all week making sure everything was perfect, little did she know Andrew was planning a surprise of his own. After the first night of campfires, grilled glizzys, and a few games of yahtzee, we went to bed early to prepare for the magical next day. The next morning, we woke up early and went on a hike along the beautiful C&O canal. We then returned to the campsite and got ready to cool off in the Potomac. From inside the tent, Sabrina heard Andrew call for help to get a splinter out of his toe. Sabrina, in her bathing suit and river shoes examined Andrews foot, which turned out to be a ploy. Sabrina blinked and the next thing she knew Andrew was on one knee with a stunning ring. Before Andrew could even get out the words "Will you marry me?", Sabrina was already crying and hugging her Fiancé. Andrew put the ring on Sabrina's finger and and pulled out an ice cold bottle of champagne he had been hiding the whole trip. We then spent the afternoon on the river completely overjoyed with love. After that, we got changed and headed to a brewery to finish celebrating Andrew's birthday, or so Sabrina thought. When we arrived, Andrew had preplanned a surprise engagement party with all of his and her family. We all spent the wonderful evening together over dancing, drinks, and dinner. It was the perfect proposal marking the end of one chapter, and the beginning of the next.
