Background: They were both a part of the outdoors community at Johns Hopkins. Nate was in JHOC (Johns Hopkins Outdoors Club) and Gauri was in OP (Outdoor Pursuits)-- a Capulet and Montague situation but less dramatic. His Story: I remember the first time I met Gauri. We were in a navigation workshop learning how to use compasses if we were lost in the woods. She approached me with gusto and enthusiastically introduced herself to me with the biggest smile I have ever seen. Her Story: As part of being new backpacking/hiking/climbing/kayaking/mountain biking/caving instructors in the outdoors community, we went on a weekend new instructors camping trip. I remember seeing Nate across the fire on the second night. I was on one side laughing and joking with my friends and he was on the other side, tending to the large fire with his friends trying to make it get even larger! We knew we had to get to know each other more!
