The three days of the wedding itself will be pretty all encompassing, but there is also a nice restaurant at Kit Carson Resort that is open to the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

There are 20 lakes in a 5 mile radius of Kirkwood surrounded by National Forest and Wilderness. Jeff and Gretchen are happy to share hiking and trail maps!
Kirkwood Village offers lift service to mountain bikes on Sat. & Sun. Bike rentals available.
Disc golf course in the Kirkwood valley.
Plenty of lake & river fishing locations. Permit required and can be bought at the Kit Carson Lodge at Silver Lake. Anyone can also rent boats, canoes, kayaks, peddle boats and SUP at Kit Carson!

We are planning to head to South Lake Tahoe with some friends and family after the wedding for the long weekend. We recommend The Beach Retreat, The Coachman Hotel or The Station House Inn for cute and fairly reasonable places to stay.
