Once you are up in the mountains, gas stations are far and few in between. Be sure to fuel up! There is a desperation gas station at Kirkwood Village that is credit card only with high prices. The closest is 40 miles out.
We will be providing the meals explained in the events page. There will be an open bar at the wedding and we will be providing some alcohol for the other events.
In Pollock Pines, there is a Safeway- 45 min one way In Pioneer, there is a Payless Market- 20 min one way In Jackson, there is a Safeway and Raley's- 1 hour one way In South Lake, there are all the markets, including several natural markets, Walmart, Whole Foods, Safeway, Raley's- 1 hour one way If coming from Reno, there will be several stores on the south end of Carson City.
Yes. If you are traveling from far away and interested in camping, please let us know. We should be able to get you a camp set up!
It can be anything in the High Sierras from mid-80s and low-90s, to 60s-70s range. The evenings can be quite cold in the 30s and 40s. There are occasional afternoon thunderstorms and lots of sun! Be prepared for anything with easy to change options. For our guests staying off property, feel free to bring a bag each day to keep at the venue!
You may start with your dress shoes if you'd like, but eventually you will want something more comfortable. There are plenty of places to hike in your down time!
Once you leave Kirkwood Village, there is pretty much no cell phone reception. There is wifi at the HideOut but it is very limited, so we ask you only sign on when you are using it and sign off again and not rely on it!
