Gifts

Answer

Your presence is truly the greatest gift to us, and we don’t want anyone to feel pressure to give more than that. If you’d like to contribute, we would love cash in any amount you feel comfortable with. Your generosity will help us with our honeymoon, our trip to India in November 2025 for our second wedding celebration, purchasing a home, and starting our life together. There will be a card box at both the ceremony and reception, and e-transfers can also be sent to gabrielle.akshay@gmail.com. For those who prefer gift cards, we’d be so grateful for any from our favorite go-to spots — they’ll definitely be put to good use for everyday life and home projects! Some of our favorites include: Costco, Amazon, Walmart, Cactus Club, Boathouse, The Keg, Shell Gas, Lululemon, Superstore, Home Depot, Aritzia, Victoria’s Secret, Sephora and RW&Co. Dress & Atmosphere

Q. What is the dress code? Our dress code is black tie optional / semi-formal. - Suits and full-length dresses are welcome. - Collared shirts with dress pants are perfectly fine (tie optional). - Midi and tea-length dresses are also acceptable. For colors, think of bringing summer into fall: Periwinkle, mauve, lavender, dusty blue, sage green, blush pink, navy, tan, brown, mustard, black — as well as other earthy tones, pastels, and jewel tones. If you’re unsure or would like input on your outfit, feel free to reach out to us anytime! Q. Are Kids invited? A. We love your kids - we really do. But we want our wedding to be your time off! Q. Can I bring a Date? A. If your invitation says "and Guest", then yes, if not, it is just you.

Ceremony & Reception

Q. What time should I arrive for the ceremony? A. Doors open at 12:45 PM at Minoru Chapel. Please arrive by then so you’re seated before the ceremony starts at 1:00 PM sharp. The doors will close once the ceremony begins. Q. Where is the reception? A. At Quilchena Golf & Country Club (3551 Granville Ave, Richmond, BC). The venue opens at 4:00 PM, drinks start at 4:30 PM, dinner at 5:30 PM, and the evening wraps up at 10:00 PM.

Parking & Transportation

Q: Where can I park? A: At Minoru Chapel, parking is paid and available in nearby lots at the Minoru Centre for Active Living. At Quilchena, parking is free and secured. Guests may leave cars overnight in the locked lot and pick them up after 8:00 AM the next morning. Q. How far apart are the venues? A. About a 10-minute drive between Minoru Chapel and Quilchena Golf & Country Club.

Q: What drinks will be provided? A: Each table will have two bottles of wine (one red, one white) plus Prosecco for toasting. A cash bar will also be available for other beverages. Q: Will you accommodate dietary restrictions? A: Yes! Dinner will include options for dietary needs. Please let us know your restrictions when you RSVP.

Q: What drinks will be provided? Each table will have two bottles of wine (one red and one white) for your enjoyment. We’ll also have Prosecco for toasting during speeches. Q: Will there be other drink options? Yes! A cash bar will be open for those who’d like to purchase other drinks. Q: Can I leave my car if I’ve been drinking? Absolutely — safety first. You’re welcome to leave your car overnight at Quilchena in the locked lot and pick it up the next morning after 8:00 am.
