Maid of Honor
Carolyn is my loving, caring, smart, determined, and hard-working sister. She has always been my rock in life, and I know she is always there for me during the good and bad times. She may be my little sister, but I am definitely the one looking up to her.
Best Man
If you haven't met Kyle yet you are definitely in the minority of the US population. He is the most outgoing and sociable person I know. He is the slightly taller, slightly smarter, slightly funnier, and slightly stronger version of Dan, or so he claims. We of course spent time together growing up, but we also were fortunate enough to spend time together throughout college and into adulthood. From teaching him basketball in the front yard to him being able to dunk on me without a sweat, from raking and jumping in leaf piles as kids to doing sketchy electrical work on his house together, and from skipping rocks on the lake to....still skipping rocks on the lake, I couldn't have asked for a better brother or have a better best man!
Bridesmaid
Cailinn is my wonderful and supportive friend from undergrad. I truly don't think either of us would have gotten our Mechanical Engineering degree without each other. Cailinn is one of the most creative and talented people I know, and when she wants to learn or improve on something she works her butt off until she has mastered it.
Groomsman
If a movie were ever created on Fernando and Dan's relationship, the tag line would be "once bitter rivals but now lifelong friends" (we are still waiting for Spielberg to get back to us on our movie pitch). Fernando was one of my college roommates and were pretty much replicas of each other. We both played soccer and tennis, pursued the same educational degrees, love snowboarding, and hung around all the same people. We became good enough friends that we had to come up with a nickname for one another. What we decided upon was "Brohun". What is a brohun you ask...it's a person who you want to instinctively call 'hunny' but you love him like a brother....a brohun.
Bridesmaid
Hannah is my incredible cousin and great friend. Growing up, I always looked up to her and I still do! Hannah has helped me get through some hard times growing up where I knew I could always lean on her for support.
Groomsman
Mike and I met each other in college and for reasons beyond our control we have found ourselves in the same place and the same time in multiple facets of life. We both were in the same undergrad program, both got hired not only by the same 10,000+ employee company but became office mates for many years, both individually moved to California and became office mates once again! There's not a nicer guy out there than Mike. Even when I...I mean someone else...is playing basketball, and I...I mean they...air-ball three shots (including a free-throw) in a row, Mike would come up and say "hey at least you know how to dribble". I can't count the number of times I have laughed my face off with one of his stories or quick jabs to lighten the mood.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and I were instant friends. We met in Albuquerque playing on a softball league at Sandia and I am pretty sure we were hanging out the very next day. Sarah helped me get through a pretty tough time while I was in Albuquerque, and I am forever thankful that she came into my life when she did.
Groomsman
"Manpanion" (shorthand for man-companion) is what I call him, but everyone else calls him Tony. He has been one of my best buds all throughout college and still remains that way today. It isn't common for friends to able to pick up the phone regardless of how long it has been since you last hung out, and feel like you haven't skipped a beat. That is how it is with him and I. Tony and I met playing tennis in college and found ourselves hanging with the same crowds very quickly. Through thick and thin he has always been there for me. He is the kind of guy who will drop everything if one of his friends asks a favor or needs a hand. Even when I asked if he would be one of my groomsmen, his immediate response was "name the time and place and I'll be there"....classic Tony.
Bridesmaid
Ashley is the most giving and understanding person I have ever known. She came into my life soon after I moved to Albuquerque, and she instantly made Albuquerque start to feel like home. Ashley has this incredible talent, where she can connect with just about anybody and make them feel loved and understood.
Groomsman
Devin and I were best buds in high school and I love him like a brother. I am pretty sure that we hung out 363 days a year. The only reason it wasn't 365 days a year was due to a couple family vacations. One of my fondest memories is waking up on weekend mornings, usually after 10 am, looking at my phone and seeing multiple missed calls from Devin each time. Being fully aware he was upset with my laziness, which he was always very vocal about, him and I still looked forward to hanging with each other. Being from a small town there isn't always that much to do, but Devin and I never got sick of each other and had a blast growing up together. I couldn't imagine my big day without him up there with me.
Bridesmaid
Gabby is truly the most humble and encouraging person I know. She always puts others before herself and supports people to achieve their goals. I first became friends with her husband and then met Gabby, where we became instant friends. I always love getting Gabby's advice and chatting with her about our past and futures.
Groomsman
If Bart and I listed our hobbies down and handed them to you to compare, the first thing you would think is that we copied each other's list. We both played high school soccer together (Bart led the defense, I led the offense), played high school tennis together (we were doubles partners for 4 years), we both enjoyed outdoor activities like snowboarding and spring training baseball games, and the list goes on and on (it actually baffles me now just writing this). Bart is the kind of guy who I know I can always count on. Even if it was for the smallest of favors at 4:00am, his response would be something not far from "hey man...ya sure...I'm up now so....no worries you're good".
Bridesmaid
Anh and I met during our annual ski trip to Pagosa Springs, CO. She and I were rather new to the group and we instantly connected. Even though we only see each other 5 days a year, we are always able to talk about difficult subjects and lean on each other for advice. Anh loves people for who they are and never places judgment. We are definitely kindred spirits.
Groomsman
If you have ever thought it would be cool to have a college roommate with your same name, it is even better when he turns out to be one of your best buds as well. He and I spent many late nights working in the machine shop finishing up senior design projects and hanging out at all the new breweries in Albuquerque. He is always up for doing something regardless of what the event is. One time I asked if he would like to do an obstacle course run with me and he forgot about it till the weekend before. Did that stop him...no....he did one practice run and said as long as he has a good meal before hand, he'd be ready. Needless to say we didn't win, but still worth it. Whether it is a trip to Las Vegas or grabbing a quick bite down the road, it is always a good time with Danny.
Bridesmaid
Krista and I met through Dan's best friend, so we started hanging out pretty early into Dan and I's relationship. Krista and I instantly connected. Krista is one of the most positive and hard-working people I know. Even during stressful times, Krista seems to get through them gracefully. I truly look up to Krista with how she balances health, family, friends, and work.
Groomsman
They always say that not only do you need to get approval from your significant other's parents and friends, you also need to make sure their siblings give the okay as well. However, this hasn't been an issue with Patrick. Over the last seven years the two of us have gotten to know each other thru various family functions and even more so over the last couple of years he has lived out in California. Our senses of humor always seem to aligned regardless of the situation. It has pretty much gotten to the point where if we are both are in the same room and see something across the way, we both can just nod to each other and know exactly what punchline we would add to the situation and start laughing. Super pumped to be gaining another brother like Patrick.
Bridesmaid
June is my soon to be sister-in-law! And I can't express how thankful I am that Kyle (Dan's brother) picked her to be my sister-in-law (I know that was the first thing on Kyle's mind when picking June)! June is such a kind and thoughtful person to everyone she meets. She truly cherishes family, and I can't wait to make family memories with her in the future!
Ring Bearer
No one will be able to take their eyes off this handsome guy. Hopefully Cam-Man doesn't steal the show from us for the entire night...but he most definitely will take a little slice of it. That's okay by us!
