Gabe and Kevy's story began during high school marching band, where fate—and the saxophone—brought them together. Gabe was the new kid, in which Kevy was instructed by their director to check in on him before band camp. Her first impression? “what an odd kid.” But that didn’t stop the story from unfolding. Kevy swears Gabe had a crush on her from the start, especially after he suspiciously join the bowling team along side her. Gabe denies that version, though still can’t explain how he ended up there. For him, the moment everything changed was during their very first section meeting, when someone accidentally hurled a football at Kevy’s head. Something about that chaotic moment sealed it for him. For Kevy, the spark happened during a quiet evening watching a movie, when Gabe nervously reached for her hand. It was simple, sweet, and unforgettable. It took Gabe a year to make his move, but once he did, the rest was history. Through high school, college, and all the in-betweens, their bond only grew stronger. Kevy went on to earn her degree in Human and Family Development from Arizona State University, while Gabe graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Math. After seven incredible years together, full of laughter, adventure, and growing alongside each other, Gabe and Kevy are finally ready to start the next chapter as husband and wife. They’re thrilled to celebrate this special moment with all their closest friends and family by their side.
