We first met through work on a typically rainy spring day in Seattle over a spilled cup of coffee, a stained shirt, and a tide pen. Neither of us realizing what an impact that incident would have on the rest of our lives. After a couple of weeks & a few more cups of coffee, Max asked Gabby for her phone number & if she would show him around his new city a bit. Over the next few months we started to fall for each other with a little help from some cold beers, Cougar Football Saturdays, & sunsets at Golden Gardens Park.
Shortly after making the cross country move from the Pacific Northwest to the great state of Texas, we both felt it was time to take the next step in our relationship. Little did Gabby know that Max already had a plan in the works. After months of Max searching for the perfect ring, and hours upon hours of planning the perfect time & place, the morning of Friday, April 16th arrived. It was a gorgeous, sunny day in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where we were vacationing at Gabby's parents' house. After some lunch on the beach we went for a walk along the water, just the two of us - a nervous Max & an unsuspecting Gabby. It was here that Max was successful in taking Gabby by complete surprise, dropping to one knee in the sand and popping the question!
