Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Metro Cinema doors will open to guests at 1:00 PM. Please feel free to arrive early and/or explore the area! There's plenty to do nearby!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please dress in semi-formal or cocktail attire. There are no restrictions on what colours you can wear -- we welcome any and all colours! (But please no white!) If you'd like to pick an outfit according to the wedding colours, you can dress in a fall shade of green, orange, or yellow!

How/Where can I park?

Answer

There are a number of parking spots available at the reception venue, the Strathcona Community League. It is located ~20 minutes (at a leisurely pace) from the Metro Cinema, along a very scenic Saskatchewan Drive. The Metro/Garneau Cinema has limited parking available behind the venue (not guaranteed), as well as a paid lot directly to the south (beside Rosso Pizzeria.) Parking is also available at Garneau School, also south of the Metro. There is also ample paid parking available at the University of Alberta (Lot U), which is about a ~5-10 minute walk from the Metro.

Do you have a registry?

Yes, we're registered at Crate & Barrel! The registry number is #7374724. Our registry can be found here: https://www.crateandbarrel.ca/gift-registry/gabrielle-potvin-and-benjamin-roth/r7374724 We like to think of the registry as more of a suggestion board (things we'd like to upgrade, colours and styles we enjoy, etc.) -- please don't feel obligated to go nuts!

I don't have access to Crate & Barrel! What can I do?

Answer

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have something in mind from the registry, or if you'd like to check what's been bought or not -- we can take something off of the registry list for you so we don't get two of the same thing! If you would prefer to bring cash or a gift card, we're also more than happy with that! But overall, your presence is more than enough for us! Please don't feel the need to spend or give any more than you're able.
