We're getting married!

It was a dark and stormy night* in March of 2018 when the two of us met at Devaney's**, a pub kitty-corner to the U of A campus. We were both attending a Model United Nations volunteer party (VERY glamorous and not at all dorky), where we met through a mutual friend. We hit it off at the party, which inspired Ben to volunteer for Model UN that fall. We got closer as friends over the next couple of years, before starting to date in March of 2020 -- a very inconspicuous and precedented time! We kept dating long-distance (Gabby in Edmonton, Ben in Halifax) over the course of the pandemic while Ben finished up his Masters', and moved in together spring of 2023. We got engaged in December of that year! *It was early evening, and lightly snowing at best. ** RIP Devaney's Irish Pub
