Nantucket Beaches

Steps Beach has calm waters, soft sand and wide-open views which makes it one of the island’s most peaceful spots. Wooden stairs lead down to the beach and from there it’s a short walk along the shoreline to Jetties Beach Bar for food, drinks, and occasional live music. Jetties Beach is an easy walk from town. Jetties is family-friendly with gentle surf, a beach bar, and convenient access—ideal for a relaxed day by the water. Surfside Beach offers stronger waves and more space to spread out. Surfside has an active feel—popular for boogie boarding, beach games, and long afternoons in the sun. Madaket Beach is remote, unspoiled and best known for its sunsets. Stop by Millie’s or 167 Raw for casual food and drinks after a day at the beach. Sconset Beach is located on the quieter eastern end of the island. It's a peaceful option that pairs well with a walk along the scenic Bluff Path.
