Question

How long are we staying in Disney?

Answer

Gabby and Sean will be in Disney World from Saturday Oct 30th- Wednesday Nov 3rd. "Mandatory" events will be held from Sunday to Tuesday. Feel free to fly in when it best fits your schedule. We hope everyone can make all of the events but it is no worries if you cant! Please let us know on the RSVP page when we can expect you in Orlando.

Question

Do we have to rent a rental car?

Answer

No! But you can if you want. Disney's Magical Express will pick you up and deliver your luggage to your room. They will also bring you back to the airport when the time is ready. Info on the Magical Express can be found here: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/magical-express/ Disney has buses going from the resorts to the parks and Disney Springs every 20 minutes. Bus schedules can be found in the Disney MyExperience App. For any other travel, use Lyft. There will be a Lyft code available for transport around for wedding activities. Use our code to charge your ride to our account.

Question

Do I need to buy park tickets?

Answer

Not to attend the wedding! But most likely yes if you want to participate in other activities. We are planning to spend Tuesday the 2nd in the parks with those of you who can make it. This will be a casual day of park exploring, feel free to meet up with us or split off and do your own thing etc. A Park Pass reservation is a reservation to enter one of the 4 parks for a day. You need to have a Park Pass reservation in order to enter a park. Make these reservations ASAP! There are currently two ticket options: Full Day Park Hopper Ticket - Needed to spend the whole day with us - $174 1 Park, 1 Day Ticket - Needed at least to meet us in Magic Kingdom - $109 Please contact Autumn Barnes, our Travel Agent, to purchase tickets!

Question

What is the Disney MyExperience App? Do I need it?

Answer

Yes! You need the app. This app will be your life line to Walt Disney World. It contains the following helpful information: - Real Time Wait Times for Rides in all Parks - Bus Schedules - Show Schedules - Checkin Info for your Hotel Room - Info on the Disney Magical Express - Mobile Food Ordering - Fast Pass booking - Access to your ticket The app can be found in the app store, we highly recommend downloading it and getting used to it before coming to Disney!

Question

What is a FastPass+?

Answer

*CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE* Fast passes are Disney's way of letting you cut the line for certain rides. If you are staying on property, which we hope you do, you will be available to book fast passes 60 DAYS PRIOR to the date on your park ticket. You can select fast passes by going into your Disney App and hitting the (+) button on the bottom of the screen. Select fast pass and go from there! Useful facts about fast passes: - You can book three fast passes per day in advance - You can only book fast passes in one park at a time (so if you are going to two parks you have to decide which makes more sense to use your fast pass on) - You can make group fast passes by adding other people to your "family" - In order to get the really hard fast passes you have to book at exactly 60 days out - They allot you an hour for each fast pass, you can be 10 minutes early or late and they will still let you in - Dont skip fast passes! Its a waste of your time!

Question

What is a Magic Band?

Answer

Your magic band is your room key, your park ticket, your fast pass, your credit card in the parks and resorts. It's also a stylish accessory. When staying at a Disney Resort you will be sent a free magic band bracelet (It looks like a watch. Don't forget to choose your color on the reservation tab of your Disney App). Through the Disney MyExperience App you can link your hotel room, credit card, and ticket to your magic band. While it is not mandatory to use, it will be beneficial to you. We recommend wearing it or having it in a bag at all points during your trip. Fun Fact: If you forget your magic band you can get a new one at your resorts guest services. If you are someone who values pretty things, you can purchase a fancy themed magic band in the parks. The standard ones sent to you are just basic colors.

Question

Disney Transportation - Disney's Magical Express

Answer

Okay buckle in, pun intended, there is a lot going on with Disney transportation. I am going to list some of our best tips so you don't make the same mistakes we have. DISNEY MAGICAL EXPRESS - I assume everyone will be taking this to and from the airport. Be sure to tag your bags with the tags they send you. On the way back to the airport be sure to be at your bus on time. If you miss your magical express they will not take you back, because there is too great of a chance you will miss your flight. You will end up having to take an $80 lyft ride to the airport and no one wants to do that, so be on time!

Question

Disney Transport - Monorails

Answer

MONORAILS - There are monorails that travel between 3 resorts and 2 parks. The main terminal is the Ticket & Transportation Center (TTC) at the Magic Kingdom parking lot. There are three monorails: 1. Monorail from TTC to Magic Kingdom - This is the busiest train usually. It goes directly from the TTC to Magic Kingdom and back 2. Resort Loop Monorail - This train makes 5 stops. The TTC, The Polynesian resort, The Grand Floridian resort, Magic Kingdom, and the Contemporary resort. If the Magic Kingdom monorail is packed take this monorail! This is especially important at park closing when everyone is trying to leave the parks. 3. Monorail from TTC to Epcot - Great if you are park hopping between Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Monorail is fun and easy but probably not all that helpful if you're staying on property. See Disney Transport- BUSES for more info.

Question

Disney Transport- Buses

Answer

Buses are the primary transportation to and from parks. They're free! There is a Disney bus departing every 20 minutes from the resorts. They begin running approx an hour before the parks open and stop approx an hour after they close. These buses go between the resorts and the parks and Disney Springs. THERE IS NO RESORT TO RESORT BUS TRANSPORT. If you need to get to a resort you have two options: take a lyft. OR go to Disney Springs or a park and get onto a bus for another resort. Disney buses are great, but they can be slow! You need to allow yourself time to travel, if you need to be somewhere in half an hour you should call a lyft.
