Things To Do

We're so excited to share some of our favorite places here on the island with you. This section will be divided into four and in order: the north, the middle, the south and finally the outer islands. This page is still a work in progress so please keep checking back for more updates!
Cape Hedo Observatory

Cape Hedo Observatory

Kunigami, Okinawa 905-1421, Japan

A breathtaking sight of the main island's northernmost tip. The coastline and corals are worth the drive alone!

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium

Motobu, Okinawa 905-0206, Japan

One of Okinawa's main attraction. Visit their whale shark, watch their dolphin show and learn all about local island's sea animals! The aquarium is also only 10 minutes away from our wedding venue and located inside Ocean Expo Park which is worth checking out as well!

American Village

American Village

Chatan, Okinawa 904-0115, Japan

A tourist destination bound with numerous shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants to explore. With Sunset Beach, water sports and dozens of photo ops, there's almost always something to do here. Make sure to try the famous Blue Seal ice cream parlor here too. This location also just so happens to be where we will be having our Welcome Party.

Sunabe Seawall

Sunabe Seawall

Chatan, Okinawa 904-0111, Japan

We love Sunabe Seawall for a chill night out. A leisurely walk by the ocean, an unbeatable view of American Village and their weekend fireworks, and plenty of bars and eateries for the best vibes. We recommend Transit Cafe for the food and sunset views, Five Star Deli for a sandwich on the beach, and Sandbox for some of the most amazing burgers and fries. Check out DB Coopers if you're looking for a good drink!

Aeon Mall Okinawa Rycom

Aeon Mall Okinawa Rycom

Kitanakagusuku, Okinawa 901-2306, Japan

Probably one of the biggest malls I've ever been to. If you're a shopaholic, Rycom is a must-see. It boasts a Pokemon Center, Ghibli store, Uniqlo, Daiso, Sanrio and so, so much more! They have a great cinema (Japanese theatres are something you have to experience if you haven't before!), huge arcade, monthly events, and the food court is also one of the best we've been to.

Araha Beach

Araha Beach

Chatan, Okinawa 904-0116, Japan

We love Araha Beach for a day of lounging by the ocean. Grassy areas, restaurants and bars, and even a gigantic Pirate Ship playground for the kids. Definitely a must if you're looking to do a relaxing beach day during your trip.

Kokusai-dori

Kokusai-dori

Kokusai-dori, Naha, Okinawa, Japan

Found in the city of Naha, Kokusai-dori Street is a tourist dream! Restaurants and izakayas galore, trinket stores and shopping, and other interesting things to see.

Okinawa World

Okinawa World

Nanjo, Okinawa 901-0616, Japan

A small but notable theme park all about Okinawa and it's culture if you'd like to learn more. You can also visit a large natural cave while here!
