Flight

Air Travel from the US

Fly into either Belfast International Airport (BFS) or Dublin International Airport (DUB). BFS is 45 minutes from Larchfield Estate, Belfast is 30 minutes. DUB is 1 hour 45 minutes from the venue, Dublin is 2 hours away. There are typically more options for flights into DUB, and more flights without layovers from the US.

Belfast Belfast is a vibrant city with plenty to explore, including the Titanic Museum, scenic coastal bus tours, St. George’s Market, the Botanical Gardens, and the historic Crown Pub. If you choose to stay in Belfast, you can reach the wedding venue by rental car or taxi. The trip typically takes 15–30 minutes.

Haslem Hotel

We have reserved a room block at the Haslem Hotel for the night of 11 July. To use our room block, which requires a £50 deposit, you may make a reservation via phone using the quoting "Bickel Wedding - 11th July". Reservation will include breakfast for the following day. A bus to & from Larchfield Estate will be departing from Haslem Hotel.

Where to Stay for Day 2

Our Day 2 Celebrations will take place in Warrenpoint, where Shauna's family lives. There are multiple hotels and AirB&Bs in the area. Look for places in Warrenpoint, Newry & Rostrevor for nearby stays, and feel free to reach out to Shauna to confirm that the spots are close by. Rental Car

Rental Cars

There are various options for rental cars from both airports. Driving in Ireland varies from driving in the US in a few ways: - drivers sit in the ??? side front seat (great debate between shauna & chris) - drive on the left side of the road, turn left on red lights - in both the city and the country, roads are narrower, sometimes allowing cars in both directions yet only being wide enough for one vehicle. Taxis

Rideshares like Uber are not typically available outside of big cities. Taxis are still very popular here and we encourage use of them to get around when you are not driving.
