Colin and I decided if we're going to have a wedding at all, we want it to cultivate special memories for friends and family. Our hope is this event becomes less about us and more about bringing people together from different chapters of our lives, either to meet for the first time or reunite after time got away from us all. We thought, what better place to do that than the Pacific Northwest? It's where we fell in love, both with each other and the old-growth forests. It's where you can find our first-born's namesake (Mt. Tabor, Portland). It's where our hearts still live and we want to share its magic with you. If you think you're signing up for a typical wedding, think again. We essentially reserved an adult summer camp (IslandWood) to disconnect for the weekend. There will be cabins, games, hiking, s'mores, and 250 acres just for us. Yes, a wedding, but more of the "unplug" with loved ones you didn't know you needed. P.S.
