The Wedding Website of Sarah Weinberg and Francisco Restrepo
Chicago is a wonderful city with lots of fun things to offer art lovers, history buffs, and thrill seekers alike! If you have some time, be sure to check out the magnificent Magnificent Mile, the Art Institute of Chicago, the "Bean" (AKA "Cloud Gate" by renowned architect Anish Kapoor), Grant Park, and the scintillating smorgasbord of ethnic (AKA non-white) food options. For those eager to explore the city off the beaten path, we encourage you to visit the highly acclaimed "Shit Fountain" located in Ukrainian Village, which is not a village, but a fairly mediocre neighborhood - nothing to write home about, and yet we've mentioned it here. But we digress... If you like museums, you're in luck because Chicago has a bunch of those too. Some personal favorites include the Museum of Science & Industry, the aforementioned Art Institute, the Illinois Holocaust Museum Presents Experience360, and if you need a pick-me-up after that one, try the Sears Tower (not aka Willis tower)!

Travel Note

Lodging/getting around the city // Alojamiento/Cómo moverse por la ciudad

The wedding venue is located in a neighborhood called Avondale - about 20 minutes northwest of downtown Chicago. Getting around the city is fairly easy by CTA (Chicago's famous elevated train system), bus, or automobile (i.e., Uber/Lyft). Lodging in downtown Chicago can be a bit pricey, so if you're looking for a better deal, we would recommend looking for a hotel or Airbnb in the following neighborhoods: Logan Square, Lakeview, Wicker Park/Bucktown, Lincoln Square, and Lincoln Park. Google maps is your friend. :)
