Frenchmen Art Bazaar

619 Frenchmen Street, New Orleans, LA 70116

Just a few doors down from The Royal Frenchmen Hotel, the Frenchmen Art Bazaar is a beautiful place to spend some time and appreciate local art.

New Orleans City Park

New Orleans, LA

The City Park in New Orleans covers a massive area—1300 acres to be exact—and is one of the largest city parks in the nation! There are so many fun things to do in the park. The New Orleans Museum of Art and the Botanical Gardens are both located in the park, as well as a City Putt golf, a dog park, swan boats for rent at the lake, fishing, bikes to rent, farmers markets and art markets, nature trails, and tons of events happening weekly.

Café Du Monde

800 Decatur Street, New Orleans, LA 70116

Some say it's over-rated... but I say it's a must! Especially if this is your first time in New Orleans! Located in the heart of the French Quarter and across the street from Jackson Square, Cafe Du Monde is a simple coffee shop that serves up world-famous beignets. And they've been serving those same beignets since 1862!! They're open 24/7 and there is almost always a band outside playing the best New Orleans music. But be aware there is usually a long line in the mornings. Also, be warned, this location runs pretty old school and only accepts cash. If the long line and cash-only aren't sounding okay to you, there is another Cafe Du Monde located in City Park, which opened in 2019. Their address is 56 Dreyfous Dr. New Orleans, LA 70124. Check their hours first as they are not open around the clock like the original location.
