Which Airport Do We Fly To?

Answer

Lisbon International Airport is the closest airport. We recommend flying here. If you are starting your trip in the south Faro international airport and if you are starting in the North, Porto international airport. However you may find a cheaper transatlantic flight to a different European city like London, Barcelona or Paris. If that is the case- once in Europe it is extremely cheap and easy to book a flight to Lisbon from one of these other cities on a European airline for far less.

How Many Nights Is The Wedding?

Answer

Two nights at the venue are included on us as a thank you for making the trip over to share in our special day. A shuttle will be provided to and from the venue to Lisbon. You do not need to come for both nights and you are more than welcome to come for the wedding if you would like. Just know that the option for 1 or 2 nights is there for you.

What Should We See While In Portugal?

Answer

Portugal is a beautiful country and filled with the nicest people. The beaches are some of the best in the world and the cities are filled with tons of history, beautiful architecture, and amazing food and drinks. In the Things To Do section we have listed some of the towns and areas we highly recommend- but a simple google search will also point you in the right direction of the main historic things to see.

What Is The Weather Like?

Answer

During September- plan on it still being hot. On average it is about 75-80 degrees F. Since so much of the country is on the coast- it does get a nice breeze at night so bring a sweater or lite jacket.

What if I have kids with me?

Answer

An english speaking babysitter will be provided by the venue. There is a playroom and playground, as well as a bounce house for the kids to enjoy. This is all within the same vicinity of the wedding- so don't worry your kids are not far! We want everyone to enjoy themselves stress free. For those bringing their kids- additional beds will be provided for your rooms.

Should we rent a car?

Answer

We highly recommend renting a car. If you do not wish to then no worries- ubers and public transit are extremely cheap! A shuttle service is also provided for the wedding venue to and from Lisbon. We have found that most US credit card companies offer extreme discounts for car rentals/ insurance abroad.

What are other accommodation options near the venue?

Answer

If you plan on staying at a hotel near the venue we recommend Sois eco lodge. We have a a dozen geo domes set aside so if you plan on staying- let us know so we can help you book with our code.
