"Steph and I both shared a common friend who was throwing a holiday party where we would be building gingerbread houses. I had heard many-a story about Steph, and knowing the other guests, I had to bring my A game to win the gingerbread house contest. As I arrived at the party I talked all about my plan to beat everyone, the “master gingerbread design.” An hour or so into the party and Steph shows up. From that moment on, my focus was no longer on designing the best gingerbread house, but on the blonde sitting next to me. We spent the entire night flirting like teenagers, staying far later than the other guests and giggling at each other’s jokes. From the moment I met her, I felt a strong magnetic attraction to Stephanie. She was somebody I had to get to know. Luckily she had the same idea. That’s when she invited herself to come workout at my Crossfit gym later that week. From there, our relationship grew. Most of all, our relationship grew alongside all of you. You helped influence our story, and chances are, if you’re reading this, you’ve written a page." - Justin
"Every great engagement story starts with the guy planning the event for months, if not years, without the would-be bride knowing. Well, that’s exactly how our story begins. Steph and I planned to take a trip to Maui once I graduated from SCAD. Little did she know, I was planning to propose on that trip. But how? There’s so many amazing places on the island, and so many places that have special meaning to me. I came up with maybe 10 or so plans. Luckily, I decided to perform one that was natural and fit the moment. Towards the end of the trip, we planned to stay a few nights at the Grand Wailea, a place I knew well. Our first day there was awesome seeing Steph freak out about the beauty, the service and the awesome pools. Later that night we planned to dine at Morimoto’s. On the way there I suggested we stop by one of the resort’s gazebos. Walking to the gazebo, I couldn’t stop fiddling with the ring in my pocket. My mind was racing and I could only hear the thoughts in my head. As we pull up to the gazebo I do my best not to put the wrong knee on the ground, not trip over my words and not drop the ring. To be honest, I kinda blacked out during the proposal. But I do know that Steph’s reply was two-fold; YES! And are you ******* with me? Both are fitting reactions based on our relationship." - Justin
