American Museum of Natural History
Come for the hall of dinosaurs, stay for the great blue whale. The AMNH, as well as the other museums on this list, is currently open for timed entry / limited attendance admission -- make sure to reserve tickets on their website in advance!
The Metropolitan Museum of Art
One of the greatest collections of masterpieces in the world! Katherine's favorite: Van Gogh, Wheat Field with Cypresses. Alex's favorite: the sculpture court.
Museum of the City of New York
A joint history and art museum on NYC's museum mile -- a stone's throw east of our ceremony.
The Frick Collection
The site of our second date! Alex got to show off everything he remembered from Art History 101. A must-see for fans of Vermeer and Ingres. The original museum is currently closed, but everything is still on display at the Frick's temporary Madison Ave home.
Chelsea Market
A wonderful local market and food hall on NYC's west side. Our picks: Los Tacos No 1 and the seafood bar.
BLVD Bistro NY
Soul food Katherine swears is Southern-authentic. If you go, you have to get the grits (it's the law).
Shanghai 21
A perfect Chinatown spot for a sit-down meal (family-style, of course!) Don't miss the soup dumplings, Shanghai-style lo mein, and rice cakes.
Super Taste
One of Chinatown's greatest no-frills, hole-in-the-wall guilty pleasures. Get the Mount Qi beef noodles, pork belly bao, and sesame noodles. It will cost $10 and you will not finish it.

Maybe not NYC's most famous ramen shop, but one of our personal favorites. The pick: spicy black garlic ramen, and every appetizer during half-off happy hour.
BCD Tofu House
Is tofu soup really a must-try? It is at BCD Tofu House! If you're in the mood for something else in K-Town, try any fried chicken joint, any K-BBQ place, Grace Street or the Spot for desserts, and Atoboy for upscale cuisine.
Becco
Our go-to pre-Broadway meal, featuring a revolving all-you-can eat pasta tasting menu. Even while Broadway is temporarily closed, there's always room for pasta.
Russ & Daughters Cafe
The sit-down cousin of the famous Russ & Daughters deli counter on the Lower East Side, with all the latkes, bagels, and smoked fish platters your bubbe could desire. Reservations recommended.
Moonrise Izakaya
We went here for Katherine's 30th birthday! A fun, trendy Japanese small plates place on the Upper West Side with fried chicken and a bao bun of the month.
