Question

Do I have to stay on the Island?

Answer

No, but you will need to leave the party a bit early to make sure you make the boat back to Mackinaw City or St. Ignace. Please note the ferry dock is at least a 20 minute walk from venue. We recommend you leave at least 35-40 minutes prior to your ferry departure time.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, we request Garden Cocktail Attire. All other events are casual. Dress Code Inspiration can be found here: https://pin.it/6LZQaFJSF

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We will be starting the ceremony promptly at 3pm. We recommend arriving between 2:30-2:45pm to take your seats.

Question

How should we contact the Bride and Groom?

Answer

We have a shared email to handle all wedding stuff so you are welcome to email there at flapjackbenjaminconnell@gmail.com

Question

Is Flapjack going to be there?

Answer

Flapjack doesn't like parties so he'll be keeping it low-key with a nice sitter for the weekend.

Question

Are the couple changing their names?

Answer

Not legally! You are welcome to refer to us socially as the Benjamin-Connells

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

We are currently expecting a low around 60 degrees F and a high around 80 degrees F. Weather is very unpredictable on the lake so there is always the chance of surprise rain! We appreciate any thoughts, prayers, or magic spells you can spare to influence our big day to stay dry!

Question

How can I communicate with other wedding guests?

Answer

We have created a WhatsApp channel to connect wedding guests, send out any news, and share our Mackinac Adventures. Join it by scanning the QR code in your welcome bag.
