Free and open to the public, Cliff Walk is a Newport staple, this stunning walkway makes for a gorgeous day spent seaside winding along the coast. Much of it is paved or packed dirt, but there are parts that are rocky and harder to navigate for those less ably mobile. There are many places to hop in or hop off the trail. The entire path is 2.5mi long, one way.
Book a charter cruise on board the schooner Madeline! Allie built all of her sails and has friends that work on board. They promise a relaxing and engaging Bay tour.
If a powerboat is more your speed, the Rum Runner II also offers a fantastic harbor tour onboard a historic bootlegger wooden powerboat!
Very cool historic fort overlooking Narragansett Bay. The park and hillside are open and free to the public, grab yourself a Dell's frozen lemonade and watch the boats go by, or buy a ticketed tour of the fort!
Fantastic for a rainy or slower day, this small museum has a rotating collection of cars on display. Check their website for the current themed exhibit, past themes have included: concept cars, American muscle, the French Riviera...they never miss!

One of our favourite restaurants, Perro serves "high end" Mexican food and has some of our fav margaritas in town! You can't go wrong with their sticky ribs, avocado fries, and duck tacos! Highly calling in for a reservation.
The best burger joint in town, grab a casual beer and a burger on Broadway, affectionately referred to as the "locals' downtown." They do not take reservations or call aheads, but there is ample bar seating and waiting for a 4-top does not usually take long.
A pillar of Newport Yachting culture, the Clarke Cook house is located down on Bannisters Wharf and boasts some of the best espresso martinis in town! A higher end price point on their menu makes this a nice evening out, must make a reservation here.
A fantastic spot for a casual bite! Ask for your hotdog to be grilled, Sam is a hotdog expert. Do not need a reservation.
A fantastic casual breakfast spot, order at the counter and then pick a seat. This place does get very popular on the weekend. For a quicker in and out, order over the phone and pick up to-go! Allie loves taking a breakfast sandwich to Fort Adams on weekend mornings.
