Cholla Cactus Garden Nature Trail; this flat loop leads hikers through nearly 10 acres of landscape dominated by the teddybear cholla. This unusual stand of cacti is located in the Pinto Basin, a large expanse of alluvial fans covered with cacti as far as the eye can see.
Hidden Valley Nature Trail - 1 Mile
Hidden Valley is a self-guiding, one-mile loop trail that winds among massive boulders through what was believed to be a legendary cattle rustlers' hideout. It is one of the most popular and scenic hiking trails in Joshua Tree National Park.

Keys View Lookout
Keys View is the highest vista point in Joshua Tree National Park with panoramic views of Coachella Valley and the famous San Andreas Fault. On clear days, you can see all the way to Mexico. However, clear air days get increasingly rarer in the California desert these days. The best time to visit is before sunset when the setting sun creates a nice contrast in the mountainous landscape.
