Rock Garden, Calhoun

This volunteer-built, folk art-inspired garden is a private property ministry of the Calhoun Seventh-day Adventist Church, endeavoring to provide a connection for our community people with God through nature.

Copper Creek Farm

Copper Creek Farm is a beautiful farm located at the foot of the Appalachian Mountains, about an hour north of Atlanta in Calhoun, Georgia. It's a place where families, school groups, and even businesses can come to enjoy what we call Agritourism. Copper Creek Farm is owned by the Grogan family and dedicated to growing healthy families, and making memories worth repeating year after year.

James H. "Sloppy" Floyd State Park

Surrounded by rural countryside and the Chattahoochee National Forest, this quiet park in northwest Georgia offers fishing on two stocked lakes. After hiking to an old marble mine with small waterfall, plus lake loop trails, visitors can relax in swings while watching for bluebirds. The trailhead to long-distance Pinhoti Trail is a 1.6-mile hike away. Children especially enjoy the playground, feeding ducks from the lake’s boardwalk and renting pedal boats. A small campground and four cottages are nestled on tree-covered hillsides. This park was named for Rep. James H. “Sloppy” Floyd who served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 1953 until 1974.

Carter Lake

Carters Lake is one of the most scenic lakes in the southeast. Located at the southern end of the Blue Ridge Mountains, its sparkling waters and rugged shoreline provide a beautiful surrounding for a variety of recreational opportunities including camping, picnicking, boating, fishing, and hunting.
