Mia and Travis met at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, where Mia was working in the games department and had been asked to return as a supervisor. Mia was drawn to Travis’s humor, the effort he puts into everything, and his naturally kind heart. Travis admires Mia’s kindness, her ambition, and the way she embraces life and every adventure that comes with it. Over time, what began as a fun connection grew into a strong and steady partnership built on laughter, support, and intentional love. From snowboarding trips to traveling together, they have built a life full of meaningful memories and shared experiences, always finding ways to make even the simplest moments feel special.

Travis planned a heartfelt and thoughtful surprise proposal at CrossKeys Vineyards in Harrisonburg, Virginia, a place that had become especially meaningful to them. With the help of Mia’s brother, Toni, and his girlfriend, Kristine, he carefully planned every detail to make the moment feel natural and completely unexpected. The two spent the afternoon exploring the vineyard, enjoying food and wine, and soaking in the views. They eventually made their way to the gazebo they had always admired and were taking photos together when the staff brought out a bucket with wine and glasses, something Travis had secretly arranged with them ahead of time. As Mia took it in, Travis brought out a customized bottle that read, “Will you marry me, Anamarija?” and everything started to click. Mia holds both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees and works as a dietitian, while Travis is a hardworking aircraft mechanic with his A&P. They love traveling, snowboarding, exploring wineries, and spending quality time with their families and friends. From annual snowboarding trips to traveling abroad and visiting Mia’s grandparents in Bosnia and Croatia, they are always looking forward to their next adventure.
