Emily’s big brother! He lives in Mason, Michigan with his Schnoodle, Bowie. He teaches physical education and science in Dansville and has lead their boy's varsity soccer team to the state tournament many years!

Ali has been Emily's best friend for more than ten years. She lives in Brevard, North Carolina where she owns her own business called AnaRie, providing makeup and hair services for weddings and events. Her husband, Toby, is the officiant, and her two daughters, Evie and Cora, are the flower girls.

Anna Blansett

Anna and Emily met in 2011 while living in Asheville, North Carolina and immediately became best friends. They have traveled to Costa Rica, Hawaii, Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado, Washington, and California together. Anna lives in Spartanburg, South Carolina, with her husband, Caleb, and their dog, Sketch.

Jessica Bradley Schlecht

Jess and Emily met in 2017 when Jess was the preceptor for Emily's first ever nursing job in Seattle, Washington. Jess lives in Sammamish, Washington with her husband, Chris. She has two kids, Maddy and Denali.

Taylor Hoag

Emily and Taylor have been friends since 1996, when they met on the first day of kindergarten. Taylor lives in Mason, Michigan, with her husband, Nick, and their two daughters, Linden and Brynn.

Carolina Blanco

Carolina and Emily met while working in a hospital in Seattle! They have been all over Washington and Oregon together and even spent a couple weeks in New Zealand! They're headed to Peru and Bolivia in September of this year. Carolina is from Miami but works as a travel nurse now.

Taryn Gelin

Taryn and Emily met in 2013 when Taryn moved in to take Anna's place in the house they shared. They lived together for 1.5 years and attended the same nursing school. Taryn now lives in Chicago, Illinois with her husband, Chris, and their two children, Elliott and Emma.

Jim McDonagh

Jim and Cole have known each other since 1st grade and grew up in the same neighborhood. They say that Jim was the wild one and Cole kept him in check, which we all know to be true. Jim lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Emilie Lussier

Cole's little sister! She is a high school english teacher in Zeeland, Michigan and makes the best spice cake ever.

Travis Kimball

Cole and Travis have known each other since 6th grade and they both attended Lakeview High School and MSU. They also lived together for a few years in East Lansing! Travis lives in Cleveland, Ohio and works as a District Manager for Speedway. We hope to get him back to Michigan soon!

Matthew Maillard

Matt and Cole met in 2010 when they were assigned to live together in the dorms at MSU. They both attended James Madison College. Matt and his wife, Sydney, live together with their Corgi in Ferndale, Michigan. He works for United Way. Emily enjoys commiserating with Matt about Cole's household deficiencies. Hi Scooter!

Cory Carone

Cory and Cole met in 2010 and attended MSU's James Madison College as well as the University of Michigan Law School together. Cory and his wife, Andi, live in Boise, Idaho where they both practice law. They have the sweetest greyhound named Bach. He is unable to attend our ceremony, but is honored just the same.

Paul is Emily’s uncle— married to her mom’s sister. He lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan with his wife, Kelli. His son, Connor, lives in LA and his daughter, Mackie, lives in Chicago. Cole and Emily love spending time with their family and are honored to have Paul officiate!

Lotus is 10-yrs-old and his DNA test said he's an Aussie-Pit mix. Emily rescued him from Brother Wolf in Asheville, North Carolina when she was 19. He has traveled all over the US with her and is always happy, as long as he has a paw on her lap. We're not always sure that he's glad Cole is his new dad, but Cole is a great loves him either way.
