The Wedding Website of Leah Sauerwein and William Fay
Oceanside, CA is our current home town and we are happy to share this wonderful place with our guests! Oceanside has roots being a military town next to Camp Pendleton and is the northern most city of North County San Diego. Check out the famous Top Gun house, spend time at the beach, downtown, and we recommend visiting South Oceanside (fantastic restaurants and shops) as well as Carlsbad.

Shuttle

Shuttle to Botanica - Reception Venue

February 15, 2025 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm

We are providing shuttle buses to the reception and back to downtown Oceanside. The first shuttle will be mostly for family leaving by 3:30 pm directly from the church following pictures. The first bus for guests will depart near the Oceanside Pier and Beach 24 lot, just south of the Spring Hill Suites and Seabird hotel promptly at 4:00 pm. The last shuttle bus will leave promptly at 4:30 pm to arrive to the cocktail hour by 5:00 pm. If you are not taking the shuttle to the reception, you may Uber and there will be ample parking at the venue. You may arrive between 4:45 pm - 5:00 pm. Departure: Shuttles will depart from Botanica and return at the pick-up point, Oceanside Pier and Beach 24 lot.

Train

COASTER vs. Pacific Surfliner

No rental car or transportation? No problem. We recommend taking the train to get yourself from the San Diego Airport to Oceanside. Please note, you cannot pick up the Coaster (train) directly from San Diego Airport. You must use the free San Diego Flyer shuttle that takes you to Santa Fe Depot. Once at the Depot, you will get on the Coaster and ride it all the way to the last stop located at Oceanside Transit Center – 195 S. Tremont St. Oceanside, CA 92054. Tickets to ride the Coaster are $6.50/person each way. San Diego Flyer The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority is proud to introduce the “San Diego Flyer,” a free to customers electric shuttle bus service between San Diego International Airport (SAN) and Old Town Transit Center. The electric shuttle buses operate seven days a week, with an average arrival every 20-30 minutes. Pick up and drop-offs are timed to meet the first and last Trolley, Coasters, Amtrak trains, and MTS busses with the first pick up at 4:45 a.m. and the last pick up/drop off at 12:30 a.m. The San Diego Flyer shuttle buses are recognizable through a branded light orange wrap adorned with plane icons, the word “Flyer” across the side of the buses, and the SAN logo. Currently, the buses stop at Old Town Transit Center, Terminal 1, and Terminal 2. Passengers at SAN will be picked up and dropped off at transportation islands at each terminal. The stops and intervals of service will be assessed and shuttle service will be adjusted to meet increased demand if needed. Coaster: Travelers headed to and from San Diego International Airport can connect with Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner and the COASTER at Amtrak's Santa Fe Depot train station downtown by using Metropolitan Transit System Route 992, which operates between 5:00 a.m. and 11:30 p.m., every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends and holidays. https://gonctd.com/services/coaster-commuter-rail/

San Diego International Airport

There are several airport options, but San Diego International Airport is likely the easiest and closest option to Oceanside, CA. You may also look at Long Beach, or Santa Ana, but then will need transportation to Oceanside.
