King Family Vineyards
King's is a family-owned winery in Crozet, Virginia, celebrated for its beautiful setting against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. You can enjoy delicious wines, take in the vast landscape, and visit the on-site horse stables. This vineyard is also home to local polo matches and is Emily's favorite Cville vineyard.
Carter Mountain Orchard and Country Store
Mere minutes from downtown Charlottesville, the orchard has beautiful views overlooking the Blue Ridge mountains, and there's much to do at this Orchard in October! They offer a pumpkin patch, apple picking, cider tasting, donuts, and more. On busy weekends in the fall, they do require that you purchase tickets. Please visit their website to learn more.
Monticello
Visit Thomas Jefferson's historic home nestled in the hills of Charlottesville. Built and designed by Jefferson himself, Monticello offers visitors a unique glimpse into early American architecture and the life of one of the nation’s Founding Fathers. Charlottesville Downtown Mall
The Downtown Mall is walking distance from the hotels on Main Street and has great coffee, shops, restaurants, and bars! There is also parking available for those wanting to drive.
The Rotunda at The University of Virginia
Explore the UVA campus, just walking distance from the hotels on Main Street. Don't miss visiting the Lawn, the Rotunda, or Edgar Allen Poe's dorm room.
Humpback Rock Hike
If you're looking to get some exercise and see an amazing Blue Ridge Mountain view, Humpback is a great 1-mile hike. It's about a 35-minute climb to the top, and while it is quite steep, the views are worth it!
Bodo's Bagels
A must-have for first time Charlottesville visitors. We think it gives New York bagels a run for their money. Let us know if you agree!
Take It Away Sandwich Shop
Take it Away opened at UVA in 1992 and has been a crowd favorite for its amazing sandwiches. Their 'House Dressing' is what sets them apart—we recommend buying a jar to take home. This is Sam's favorite lunch spot in Charlottesville!

A great casual taqueria serving all kinds of tacos. They are delicious!

Duner's Restaurant
Duner's is a timeless restaurant in Charlottesville, serving locals since 1983! It is an amazing fine dining spot and their menu changes daily to reflect the best in local produce in the area. The Local is one of Emily's favorite restaurants in Charlottesville. Located just next to the "I love Charlottesville" sign, their food and ambiance make for a memorable night. Reservations are recommended.

Mas is a delicious Spanish restaurant, offering tapas and wine. Their food is notoriously loved by everyone, especially their bacon wrapped dates and papas bravas. Reservations are recommended.
