Such an awesome spot for drinks. Tippy's is on the beach and there is a great coral reef where you can snorkel right out front.
Restaurant that is part of the French Leave hotel. AMAZING Pina Coladas!
A great little cafe in “downtown” Governors Harbor, in the same building as the HG Christie Real Estate office: small and cozy with great harbor views. They serve coffee, baked goods, sandwiches (breakfast and lunch), salads, etc. They even have Wi-Fi, so you can check your email and sip your coffee while enjoying their patio seating.
You can walk here form the estate! Super chill restaurant. Great grouper fingers. Perfect for lunch after a long beach day!
An organic & gourmet market and cafe. Lots of specialty items, quality cold cuts and cheeses, as well as an upmarket wine selection. Located right at the top of the hill in Governor’s Harbour, leading on to Banks Road. Look for the native stone wall with A-frame sign.
Grocery in town + gas station. 700 wines and liquor next door.
This beach is one of the most widely known beaches on the Atlantic side. Despite its fame, even the busiest days here are far from crowded. It is arguably one of the nicest beaches on the island (where we are having the wedding ceremony!), and the most conveniently located Atlantic side beach if you are staying in the Governor’s Harbour area. This beautiful pink sand beach stretches for over a mile and is a great place for swimming and snorkeling. The offshore reefs keep the water somewhat calm here, especially for the Atlantic side. To get to French Leave Beach from Squires Estate, head to the top of the “up” hill, then go straight over the intersection, and follow the road to the bottom of the hill. Turn left onto the dirt track road, then a right. Park along the side and walk down to the beach.
Another great grocery store in town
This place has amazing food, atmosphere and you can walk out to the beach!
Island Farm - stop in the morning's for the best cinnamon rolls. Great fresh veggies, sauces and herbs.
Ten Bay is the epitome of a calm Caribbean sandy beach suitable for all ages. There is even decent snorkeling around the rocky outer edges of the beach. SAND DOLLAR HEAVEN. To get to Ten Bay Beach, go about 4.4 miles south from the Palmetto Point crossroads and take a right onto a dirt road. There used to be a tiny Ten Bay Beach sign on the right. If you see a bunch of signs with resident’s names you just passed the road, just turn around and take your first left.
Stand in the middle and see the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Caribbean on the other. So, so beautiful.
