Stroll the Cliff Walk

Instead of starting at Memorial Blvd, we suggest walking south to north instead. Simply grab a ride hail to zero Bellevue Ave (aka “Reject's Beach") and cross the sand to the trailhead. Reward yourself with a cocktail at the Chanler upon completing this beautiful 3.5 mile walk along the ocean!

Surf the waves at Second Beach

Eat a “stuffie"

Locally known as a “stuffie," the stuffed quahog is one of RI's most iconic dishes! Stuffies comprise a mixture of clams with breadcrumbs/spices (and sometimes chourico, a Portuguese sausage) baked in a shell. You can find them at several restaurants and beach concession stands, but a few recommended spots are: - Anthony's Seafood - The Lobster Bar - Flo's clam shack

Drink a Del's frozen lemonade

There are also several Del's trucks parked around newport in the summer, to include in the parking lots of Easton's Beach and Second Beach.

Wander through Norman Bird Sanctuary or Sachuest Point
