Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We kindly request that our wedding be a child-free event save for those taking part in the ceremony. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black-tie Optional. We invite you to dress your best as we celebrate this exciting day! Tuxedos and evening gowns are highly encouraged, however, a dark suit and tie, or a midi- to knee-length cocktail dress would be perfect too. For those wearing heels, we recommend thicker block styles since the villa has variable terrains that may be unkind to stiletto type shoes (e.g. grass, pebbled rock, etc.).

Question

When should travel be booked?

Answer

We recommend booking roundtrip airfare from the US to Europe about 2-3 months before your intended departure to get the best prices. For arrival in mid-May, that would mean booking sometime between February and March. We also suggest booking your lodging around this time as well if you can since late May is the beginning of the tourism season. Airfare pricing can differ drastically depending on what airline you choose and your point of origin but a standard range to/from Italy in the last year on major US carriers (United, Delta) has been between $800-1200 per person for a main cabin ticket.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We highly recommend that you stay in Ronta the night of the wedding. This will allow us to better help you get back to your accommodations for that night. Florence is about 40-60 minutes by car and arranging shuttle transfers back to the city will not be possible. Trains also stop running back to the city at 8:50 PM. Please check the travel page for hotel recommendations.

Question

Is there parking at the Villa?

Answer

Yes, there is parking for those choosing to drive themselves to the wedding.

Question

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the wedding?

Answer

We will run a shuttle service to pick people up from the hotels in Ronta before the wedding. We will run additional shuttles back to Ronta after dinner.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our goal is to have our entire celebration outdoors to make use of the Villa's impressive grounds and stunning views of the valley. If the party extends beyond 1:00 AM or if the weather turns poorly, we will shift to the Villa's interior.

Question

Is there anything I should bring as a guest?

Answer

Late May in Tuscany is typically warm during the day (73-78 F/22-25 C) and cooler at night (53-58 F/11-14 C). We suggest you bring sunscreen and sunglasses for the late afternoon, and a light jacket or shawl for the evening.

Question

What language will the event be in?

Answer

We will do our best to accommodate both English and Italian at our wedding. All signage/information will be in both languages, and the English ceremony performed by Dani's brother will be translated into Italian.
